The Doctor
Dr. Robin’s style of medicine is an integrative one, meaning that she utilizes both conventional as well as naturopathic modalities. “First Do No Harm” for her means using whatever treatment type best suits her patient -whether it’s antibiotics or other pharmaceuticals, herbal medicine, homeopathy, bioidentical hormones, exercise, or nutrition- without being wedded to one type of medicine over another. Her philosophy centers on treating the cause of disease or dysfunction rather than on only medicating the symptoms. Dr. Robin uses lab testing, physical exam, and history-taking to evaluate her patients and help them form a plan to regain homeostasis (balance).
Dr. Robin attended Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis. She received her naturopathic medical degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, OR. Later she trained in the evaluation and treatment of tick-born infections with Dr. Bernard Raxlen in New York City via the Physicians’ Training Program within the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS).
Dr. Robin left her solo Minnesota practice in January 2009 to join Dr. Breana McElgunn at Gallatin Valley Natural Medicine in Bozeman. She is licensed as a naturopathic physician by the state of Montana.
